President's Message
It is my pleasure to serve as the President of the Carson Valley Women’s Golf Club (CVWGC) once again in 2024. You are a wonderful group of ladies, and I can’t begin to tell you how much your support of me means. But, without all of you, I cannot accomplish all that we do. I am the conductor, but you are the musicians. Without musicians, there is no music. Thank you for making beautiful music with me.
Women in golf has come a long way, baby! The number of women golfers increased to almost 6.2 million in 2021, and the 2022 estimate is 6.4 million. Women’s Golf Day, a global movement that engages, empowers, and supports females through golf, embraces this surge at their annual one-day sporting and community celebrations around the world.
The Carson Valley Women’s Golf Club has a very diverse golfing community that includes every level, from advanced to beginner golfers. For this upcoming season, I have three goals that I hope we can achieve together. The first is that every level of golfer enjoys this great game of golf. The second goal is that we all build long-lasting friendships within our wonderful golfing community. And finally, the third goal is that we all reach out to other women golfers we know and bring them into our Club where they too can have fun on the golf course and build lifelong friendships.
Once again, I would like to thank all of you wonderful ladies who made this club function so effectively in 2023, and there are more of you than I can mention here. Without your participation and service there would not be this smooth functioning golf club where all golfers feel welcomed and included. I also want to thank the Carson Valley Golf Course management team for their continued support of our Club. I appreciate everything they do every week during the season to ensure that we have fun playing this great game of golf.
Serving you this year,
Judy Brooke
President
